Evaluation of Oral Hygiene Practices, Oral Health Status and Behaviours among Dental Students at Qassim University

Objectives: current study was carried out to evaluate the pattern and differences concerning oral health attitudes behavior between students studying in pre-clinics with higher class dental clinics at Qassim University. Method: A cross-sectional through survey University 2020-2021, among students, All 100 participants undergone a self-administered questionnaire followed by checkup access hygiene status. Result: Caries prevalence revealed mean DMFT 5.99 teeth. The significant were found of total score its ‘Decayed’ component. Gingival index 0.72 ± 0.37 which indicate good gingival condition. There’s highly statistically difference male when compared female (p>0.001). Plaque 0.92 0.33, 72% had hygiene. 86% reported they brush least once day. We observed from groups (p=0.001). Flossing been adopted 59% students. Female significantly frequencies (p=0.005) Conclusions: This recommends needs have extensive program for beginning enhance selfcare behaviors also Bangladesh Journal Medical Science Vol.22 (Special Issue) 2023 p.33-41
